About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join their talented team as an Enterprise Architect Specialist. This role operates in an environment with statewide mission impact and executive visibility, requiring integration across heterogeneous IT, OT, and security environments. The position involves time-critical decision-making with limited tolerance for architectural error, directly influencing cybersecurity posture, resilience, and operational readiness. The scope exceeds standard Enterprise Architect roles, encompassing statewide, multi-domain architecture responsibility across cybersecurity platforms, security telemetry, network visibility and detection, hybrid infrastructure, integration patterns, and resilience architecture. The architect will make and document high-consequence architecture decisions affecting detection coverage, evidentiary integrity, operational continuity, and recovery capabilities. The role also involves advanced architecture governance leadership, establishing mechanisms that balance speed and rigor, resolving cross-organizational conflicts, adjudicating risk tradeoffs, and preventing architectural debt. Deep technical breadth with hands-on expectations is required, including expert-level understanding across security telemetry pipelines, SIEM platforms, network detection architectures, cloud and virtualization platforms, and automation and integration tooling. The architect must be capable of both strategic design and practical validation with engineering teams. Furthermore, the role directly supports high-value procurements and vendor evaluations, including requirements shaping, technical evaluation input, and architectural risk assessment.
