The role is part of a team focused on using data, analytics, and insights to drive decision-making and create custom software to address global health threats. The organization partners closely with Research & Development (R&D) to provide innovative solutions and enable new products and capabilities. This specific role is for an experienced Associate Director, Technical Product Management supporting the Clinical Data Management ecosystem. The product manager will collaborate with R&D and other organizations to define the roadmap, own and prioritize the backlog, and act as the central contact between the business and the scrum team.

Responsibilities

  • Work across the Integrated Trial Monitoring Product area supporting programs that enable business partners to operate without obstacles.
  • Build expertise on system validations and learn the end-to-end clinical process.
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels to uncover and communicate user needs.
  • Plan, design, and conduct testing activities.
  • Engage support teams.
  • Compile critical content for training and communication to users.
  • Apply a structured approach to discover, document, and manage business process and stakeholder needs.
  • Gather insight into user journey, behavior, motivation, unarticulated problems, unmet needs, and pain points.
  • Work with Business Stakeholders, Product Users, Product Managers, and Technical Leads to ensure IT solutions are valuable and viable.
  • Gather documentation related to the business process in the clinical domain.
  • Document business/user needs and trace requests and responses to requests.
  • Continuously broaden expertise in the Clinical Trials business domain.
  • Leverage business and user insights to form solutioning ideas and make prioritization decisions to maximize the value of IT solutions.
  • Work with the business to identify business value for initiatives and determine how to measure solution success.
  • Be accountable for enablement, adoption, and growth of the Integrated Trial Monitoring product.
  • Build knowledge of existing solutions through IT communities and leverage them for business stakeholders.
  • Partner with squad members (scrum masters, technical leads, development team) to manage high-quality product delivery using Agile SDLC methodology.
  • Ensure a healthy backlog of well-formed epics, features, and user stories is maintained, aligning with the overall roadmap and serving as requirements for the delivery squad.
  • Follow and apply Product Model principles to maximize business value.
