Job SummaryIn this role you will be responsible for ensuring all activities related to supply chain (i.e., all departments and processes involved in the manufacturing of goods such as planning, production, procurement, and inventory management) are completed timely and in a manner that upholds West's standards for Safety, Quality, and Operational Excellence. You will support all functions of Supply Chain (Planning, Purchasing, and Inventory Management) to ensure the successful operation of the facility. Manages the execution of the short-term production schedule and raw material plans to ensure on time deliveries.

Requirements

  • College degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or relevant field
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to make independent and sound judgments
  • Read and interpret data, information, and documents
  • Analyze and solve problems
  • Observe and interpret situations
  • Work under deadlines with shifting priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in Production Planning or Purchasing
  • Understanding of MRP (Supply / Demand)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Detail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking ability
  • Proven ability to develop reports and analyze data
  • Knowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily execution of the production schedule to meet short-term requirements
  • Manage raw material plans to facilitate operational requirements
  • Collaborate with operations to address production constraints
  • Analyze production outputs as compared to expectations and provide recommendations to align
  • Assist in maintaining system master data for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Lead interactions with Customer Service on the status of shipments to ensure our customers receive an exceptional level of service and manage their expectations as necessary
  • Act as a liaison for manufacturing and customers, assuring that information is gathered and disseminated in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Manage relationships with other West facilities that serve as both vendor and customer to West Jersey Shore
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and inventory control to ensure accurate inventory data
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects requiring input from Supply Chain
  • Identify and execute Supply Chain process improvements to drive better results and time management
  • Analyze material shortages/overages regularly and determine optimal inventory levels
  • Analyze materials that are high value, critical to the process, and have a short shelf life
  • Comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Comply with the company’s quality policy at all times
  • Comply with the SOPs, as per Company policy, as relevant to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Other duties as assigned
