About The Position

This position requires the ability to maintain a DoD Security Clearance. An active DoD (in-scope) Secret Clearance is required. The role is responsible for the procurement of subcontracts, including the management of cost, schedule, and performance parameters. The Specialist will implement sourcing strategies, assess supplier risk (including financial), and develop mitigation plans. This includes developing subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services. The role involves preparing bid packages, conducting bidders' conferences, analyzing and evaluating proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending subcontractors, writing awards, and administering resulting subcontracts. Responsibilities also include negotiating and coordinating additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts, and participating with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. The Specialist will select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for achieving goals and objectives and may sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.

Requirements

  • An active DoD (in-scope) Secret Clearance is required.
  • Experience in Procurement/Subcontracts
  • Must have an extensive background in troubleshooting within SAP
  • Negotiation expertise in both cost and terms and conditions is critical.
  • FAR and DFAR’s understanding is a must.
