About The Position

IMAX is seeking a Service Inventory Specialist to support the efficient distribution of service parts across our global theatre network. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of field service part requests while maintaining optimal inventory levels to support our Technical Services organization. Working closely with Logistics, Procurement, Shipping, and Technical Services teams, the Service Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in supporting field operations through inventory management, parts distribution, shipment coordination, and SAP transactions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and accuracy are essential to maintaining exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain
  • Broad understanding of inventory operations and logistics processes
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting technical service or aftermarket operations
  • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory best practices
  • Experience with SAP inventory transactions and order processing
  • Industry experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, or Technical Services

Responsibilities

  • Process service part requests accurately and ensure timely fulfillment
  • Pick, pack, and prepare parts for shipment to support field service requirements
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through SAP inventory transactions and system updates
  • Create and process intra-company orders within SAP
  • Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities to maintain adequate stock availability
  • Support parts depot operations and return center activities to improve inventory efficiency
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with Logistics and Shipping teams
  • Monitor deliveries to depots and ensure shipment transactions are completed accurately in SAP
  • Track shipments and provide delivery updates to internal stakeholders
  • Support shipping accuracy, delivery performance, and return cycle time objectives
  • Assist with job costing and logistics documentation as required
  • Prioritize service orders based on operational requirements and business needs
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, and Technical Services teams to resolve inventory and shipment issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, shipping efficiency, and overall service performance
  • Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with company policies and operational procedures
