About The Position

The Specialist SC Shipping role is responsible for coordinating shipments, managing shipping quotes, negotiating freight rates, maintaining shipping records, monitoring shipment activity, preparing reports, and supporting compliance requirements. This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong computer skills, the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, a good attendance record, and the ability to follow instructions. Forklift certification is also required or the ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, carriers, and shipping providers to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
• Prepare and manage shipping quotes for customers.
• Negotiate freight and shipping rates with carriers and couriers.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
• Monitor shipment activity to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare reports and provide logistics data to management.
• Support customs and transportation compliance requirements when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
