About The Position

This role is for a Generative AI and Machine Learning Specialist Seller within the US AWS Global Sales organization. The position focuses on driving the adoption of AWS's AI/ML and Generative AI services within the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods industries. The specialist will identify customer opportunities, understand their needs, and align them with AWS Generative AI solutions. They will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers in embedding and deploying these solutions to unlock new value and solve business problems. The role involves full-cycle sales, from lead identification to revenue realization, requiring the development of account plans and win plans to achieve customer vision and AWS revenue goals. The specialist will build trust with Line of Business, Data Science, and IT personas, and maintain in-depth knowledge of AWS Generative AI services. They should be able to articulate the 'why' and 'what' of generative AI use cases and technical solutions at a 200-level, with solution architects providing the 'how'. Compelling executive conversations on the transformational possibilities of generative AI and data are also expected.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience.
  • 3+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience.

  • Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business.
  • Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
  • Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology projects for global customers.
  • Experience (technical or educational) in Engineering or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

  • Accelerate customer adoption by defining and executing sales plays within assigned accounts, leveraging AWS Sales and partner ecosystem.
  • Ideate with Line of Business and C-suite leaders, building trust with technical expertise, and helping solve their most compelling business problems.
  • Act as the front line within accounts for all specialist customer engagement in the tech domain.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions that address specific customer needs.
  • Partner with system integrators to deliver on customer projects.
  • Spearhead market expansion by pinpointing new customer segments and Gen AI use cases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to continuously strengthen AWS's Gen AI value proposition.
  • Gather customer input and experiences to enable service teams to innovate.
  • Establish credibility and trust with customers, account teams, and service teams.
  • Drive sales efforts spanning multiple lines of business with decision-making authority and budget ownership.
  • Engage systems integrators and collaborate closely with AWS partners to deliver maximum customer value.
  • Develop and deliver compelling ROI to drive adoption of AWS Gen AI solutions.
