Job Summary The R&S Specialist, Safety Administrator, is responsible for promoting the safety culture and policies within KBR. Under general supervision, the role is responsible for implementing health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines for employee and department safety. The Safety Administrator interacts with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and ensure the meeting of operational standards. This position is required to be commutable to one of the KBR office locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 2+ years’ experience in a safety-related role within the industry.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Knowledge of Power BI for dashboard creation, reporting, and data model development to provide meaningful business insights.
• Strong organizational and task management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities as well as interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Director and various Safety Managers in developing and implementing Action Plans, leading to successful mitigation or elimination of adversities.
• Compiles and analyzes accident, injury, and property loss data using various software programs.
• Conducts follow-on monitoring to keep senior management informed of progress.
• Reviews data and provides reports for monthly HSE metrics, as well as reports for Quarterly Progress.
• Assists management with formulating Corrective Action Plans to reduce incidents and lower insurance-related costs.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.
• Prepare and submit reports on safety activities and compliance status.
