About The Position
This role is within the Total Quality Management department and involves maintaining and utilizing specialty databases. The Specialist-Quality will collect, store, retrieve, and communicate quality-related data and information from various sources. Responsibilities include managing data requests, generating comprehensive quality management reports, and supporting performance improvement, quality management, and patient safety initiatives. The role may also involve audits for regulatory and accreditation compliance and maintaining quality databases by loading import files, generating reports, verifying accuracy, and identifying system inconsistencies.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, document and utilize specialty databases.
- Collect, store, retrieve and communicate quality-related data/information.
- Collect data from various sources including medical records, clinical information systems, logs/records, interviews, national and state databases and governing organizations.
- Manage requests for data and provide comprehensive quality management reports including utilization, outcome studies and scorecards.
- Generate summary reports of clinical measures and required regulatory/accreditation measure for administrative and clinical staff.
- Conduct data retrieval, aggregation, analysis and reports.
- Provide team support for performance improvement, quality management and patient safety initiatives.
- May also participate in audits of medical records, departments and patient care areas for compliance with key regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain various quality databases including loading import files, generating and working data status reports.
- Verify accuracy of records, produce export files and identify inconsistencies in system operations and alerts appropriate staff.
