About The Position

UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, is seeking a Quality Specialist to support its sustainment division. This role focuses on additive manufacturing and other advanced manufacturing technologies. The position is full-time and benefits-eligible, offering health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, disability insurance, tuition assistance, and paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays. The Quality Specialist will support the Quality Management System (QMS) by assisting Quality Engineers in monitoring functions for compliance with internal and external requirements, supporting corrective actions, promoting process discipline, and improving quality metrics. Key responsibilities include supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS in a low-volume, high-mix advanced manufacturing environment at UDRI, and assisting in the development of process documentation for both UDRI and the USAF. Support for advanced manufacturing programs for sustainment activities is a core part of this role.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year directly related experience supporting manufacturing, inspection, quality control or quality system development/management in a manufacturing environment.
Organizational skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Office products.
Successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
Effective verbal communication skills with team members at all levels.
Ability to relate to, and motivate work associates in the spirit of collaboration, relative to correcting mistakes and preventing them in the future.
Attention to detail.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to research contract requirements with the U.S. federal government.
A minimum of 3 years directly related experience supporting manufacturing, inspection, quality control or quality system development/management in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Support the Quality Management System (QMS).
Assist Quality Engineers in monitoring functions for compliance to internal and external requirements.

Support quality metrics improvement.
Support continued development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS for a low volume, high mix advanced manufacturing environment at UDRI.
Support development of process documentation for use by UDRI and the USAF.
Support advanced manufacturing programs for sustainment activities.
