About The Position

The Specialist Quality role is responsible for handling technical specification requests, questionnaires, and forms. This position involves reviewing QA Master Data and generating weekly reports. Additional duties may include managing projects such as CARB, responding to UL or BV unacceptable quality reports within a specified timeframe, and updating customer specifications via web portals. The role also coordinates the retrieval of quality information, communicates customer-requested changes, and supports Target Inspection processes at the Distribution Center. Responsibilities include reviewing records or inspecting retains to support investigations and undertaking projects as assigned by the QA Director.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computer usage including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and SAP, and other work processing, database, or spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets, databases, etc…
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze data & track trends.
  • Ability to analyze problems utilizing basic tools (pareto charts, root cause analysis, gap analysis, etc…)
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Minimum of Associates Degree or college level course work which includes: 1 year of general chemistry, Basic English (English/Composition 101, etc…)
  • Some computer course work preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a regulated industry is required.
  • Personal computer proficiency required.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Writing course work preferred.
  • A background in chemistry preferred.
  • Previous experience can be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

  • Answer Technical specification requests, questionnaires and forms.
  • Review QA Master Data and provide weekly report.
  • Write and complete response for UL or BV unacceptable reports quality related issues within 10 business days or within allotted timeframe.
  • Update customer specifications through web portals as requested by sales.
  • Coordinates the retrieval of quality information (surveys, etc…) for the customer.
  • Communicates and coordinates changes requested by customer (component changes or special instructions).
  • Support and conduct Target Inspection process at Distribution Center (DC).
  • Review records or inspect retains on request to support investigations.
  • Projects for QA Director as assigned.
