The Specialist - Quality Systems role ensures the effective functioning of our Quality System through supplier audits and resolving internal and customer issues via thorough follow-up on corrective and preventive actions. This position also manages quality aspects during project startup or changes to existing projects and maintains a robust quality planning system for manufacturing products according to established procedures by clients and Schaeffler.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 2 plus years of experience in a quality systems role or equivalent experience
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective functioning of our Quality System through supplier audits and resolving internal and customer issues via thorough follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage quality aspects during project startup or changes to existing projects and maintain a robust quality planning system for manufacturing products according to established procedures by clients and Schaeffler.
  • Create, update, and optimize quality procedures, databases, and training materials to ensure effective implementation of quality systems.
  • Generate, maintain, and preserve quality documents to meet control and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update quality data in Sconnect for efficient communication with support and production areas.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and monitor product, process, and layer audits to comply with industry standards and external customer requirements.
  • Participate in achieving departmental goals by continuously improving the quality system and meeting key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate on developing new projects or modifying products and processes, ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure timely validation and approval of first sample approvals with clients.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and follow up on audits from certification bodies, clients, and corporate audits to achieve satisfactory results.
  • Conduct self-evaluations requested by clients or internal portals to ensure compliance.
  • Train internal auditors and support employees in procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist in quality certification processes and training on new quality management systems and processes.
  • Provide solutions for issues encountered during new project development and technical and quality support.
