About The Position

The Specialist Project Manager for the Power Division is a senior professional with strong knowledge in project management and deep knowledge of the functional area. This role leads complex, and high-impact initiatives with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities. The individual collaborates and communicates effectively across and beyond the organization to influence practices, processes, and approaches. They drive meaningful improvements to systems, processes, and products, contribute to the development of new solutions, and execute operational plans that deliver measurable business and functional results. L3Harris Technologies – Power Division - delivers end-to-end solutions for the US Navy Shipbuilding programs. With capabilities in ship control systems, manufacturing and turn-key ship overhauls that meet customers’ mission-critical needs. L3Harris Power has approximately $450M in annual revenue and over 1000 employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Familiarity working with electrical power distribution equipment
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully “leading” a team towards achieving program/company goals
  • Experience working with other functions (i.e. engineering, supply chain, operations, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Tools (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
  • Expands the product line with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
