About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Program Manager. In this leadership role the individual will be responsible for overall program management and is accountable for successful program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This position will have a direct interface with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. The role includes responsibility for guiding L3Harris’ employees in their work and influencing them to deliver their best and to act within the L3Harris corporate values. The position is located, on-site, in Amityville, NY.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing programs within a DOD or Aerospace environment
  • Understanding of customer procurement processes and government funding approval
  • Technical and/or Engineering background
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience working across different business organizations and customer communities
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral, written, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience with customer and stakeholder communication
  • Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint ® and have the capability to produce milestone schedules, spreadsheets, and other program related reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of projects
  • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of the portfolio through all phases
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality to ensure project success
  • Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and issues
  • Monitor and report project progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and work solutions to complex problems
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, maintaining customer communication, and providing overall management of the customer relationship.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
