About The Position

The Space Systems sector of L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Production Planner to join our team in Clifton, New Jersey. The ideal candidate is an energetic individual with strong problem-solving ability as well as excellent skills in the areas of communication (both written and verbal), organization (physical and electronic), collaboration, and interpersonal interactions. The candidate must be detail-oriented, reliable, able to prioritize, follow up, and possess strong time management skills. Depot Repairs is responsible for identifying and resolving hardware problems and communicating hardware statuses in a timely manner. Under the general supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in improving the performance, productivity, and efficiency of the depot repair goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing Secret Clearance preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with MRP.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of strategic plans for manufacturing activity; implements and manages depot plans.
  • Recommends improvements to processes and policies in support of organizational goals; implements departmental policies and procedures to maximize output.
  • Presents corrective and preventative actions to maintain world-class customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure smooth inter-department processes and procedures.
  • Completes all projects assigned by management within the required timeframe.
  • Conducts periodic inventory audits in the department and reconciles physical counts.
  • Interfaces with Production Managers, Shop Floor Supervisors, and the Manufacturing Planning Manager to schedule and prioritize hardware.
  • Facilitates coordination and communication between supporting functions to develop a strategy to increase repair throughput and reduce cycle times.
  • Creates, tracks, and monitors monthly metrics and exceeds monthly delivery goals defined internally by implementing a repair strategy for increasing repair velocity.
  • Regularly reviews and updates command media and creates SOP work instructions.
  • Maintains team engagement and a positive work environment, supporting the company’s culture.
