About The Position

Our site in Danbury, CT is seeking a Production Planner – SDS & VAC to support supply planning and production scheduling activities across SDS and VAC product lines, supporting operations in North America and Korea. This role focuses on translating demand into executable supply plans, maintaining accurate planning data in SAP, and supporting alignment between demand, capacity, and production execution to meet customer and business requirements. The position works cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Customer Service to maintain schedule stability, resolve constraints, and support effective execution in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in supply planning, production planning, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong experience with SAP ECC and SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity‑constrained, multi‑site planning environments.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to support global coordination across time zones as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Supply & Capacity Planning: Support supply planning activities for SDS and VAC across North America and Korea. Translate demand requirements into production and supply plans that balance service, inventory, capacity, and cost. Maintain constrained supply plans in SAP IBP over an 18-month horizon, with alignment to SAP ECC for execution. Apply MRP, master scheduling, and inventory management fundamentals to build achievable supply plans.
  • S&OP & Capacity Planning Support: Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through data preparation, analysis, and plan updates. Maintain and validate work center capacity assumptions in collaboration with Operations and Engineering. Utilize capacity requirements planning (CRP) and rough-cut capacity analysis to identify gaps and support decision-making.
  • Production Planning, Scheduling & ERP Execution: Maintain production schedules to ensure alignment with demand and capacity plans. Update and support ERP master data and planning parameters (MRP type, lead times, lot sizes, routings, BOMs) to ensure accurate system. Monitor planning signals, exception messages, and system outputs to identify risks and required actions. Perform data analysis using SAP and Excel to support planning decisions and issue resolution.
  • Capacity Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Monitor work center loading and highlight over- and under-capacity conditions. Support mitigation actions such as overtime, sequencing adjustments, and material alignment. Escalate constraints related to labor, equipment, and materials to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional & Cross-Regional Coordination: Coordinate with teams across North America and Korea to align supply plans and schedules. Work with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Customer Service to resolve material shortages and scheduling issues. Participate in cross-functional meetings to review supply risks, priorities, and actions.
  • Supply Commitments, Inventory & Performance: Support alignment of supply commitments and delivery timelines with stakeholders. Monitor inventory health, service levels, and planning KPIs, including schedule adherence and on-time shipment performance. Assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions for service or planning gaps.
  • Process & Continuous Improvement: Follow defined planning and scheduling processes, including planning cycles and exception management. Support improvements to planning, scheduling, and capacity management processes. Maintain documentation of planning workflows and system inputs.
