This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Job Description As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish the sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. You will expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. You will analyze plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources and prepare production reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in production control, production scheduling, or operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with production planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret capacity and production requisition data to support decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
  • Must be willing to move and track hardware as needed across the production floor and/or facilities
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and processes
  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) certification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in a high-tempo, fast-paced production environment with competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present production data and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to ensure sequence and lead times align with customer orders and sales forecasts
  • Monitor production operations and expedite activities that are causing schedule delays; proactively adjust and communicate schedule changes to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Analyze plant capacity, production requisition data, and resource availability to determine optimal manufacturing processes and identify potential constraints or bottlenecks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure production plans are achievable and aligned with organizational goals
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute accurate production reports, performance metrics, and status updates to relevant stakeholders and leadership
  • Provide estimating support for production timelines, resource requirements, and capacity planning initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within production control processes and implement best practices to enhance scheduling efficiency and on-time delivery performance
