Position Summary: Working closely with the Airbag Application Engineering team as part of the Validation team to verify design requirements.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced analytical and mathematical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Proficient with computer design software including AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Ability to translate design concepts into physical objects.
  • 5+ years of related technical experience (Airbag technician/specialist, Aftermarket technician, Laboratory Testing)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering (preferred) or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tested part review activities.
  • Route validation related documents for approval.
  • Audit/Maintain Validation KPI tracker.
  • Submit parts to the lab for testing.
  • Support DV/PV testing along with any related delta iterations.
  • Support design review requirements and change management activities.
  • Coordinate environmental testing and third-party laboratory testing.
  • Generate internal validation reports.
  • Issue PO’s to 3rd party vendors to complete validation testing.
  • Read the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct of Joyson Safety Systems, understand the content and sign the Code of Conduct Certification form.
  • Act in an ethical, honest and professional manner by acting on behalf of the company and conducting business with integrity, even when making difficult decisions.
  • Complete all the online and/or onsite training scheduled in your location related to ethics and compliance topics.
  • Become familiar with Joyson Safety Systems ' Ethics and Compliance Policies.
  • Report to your supervisor, the Executive Committee, the Compliance department, or any of the available resources any possible violation of the Laws, the Code of Conduct, or the Company's Policies.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data and information related to your job position and department.
