Requirements

Minimum two years’ experience in construction industry, experience in procurement favourable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment and initiative and involves multi-tasking.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong ability to forge relationships both internally within different Aecon departments and externally with suppliers.
Technical understanding of SAP and the procure to pay process
Intermediate to Advance level of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
Understanding of “total cost” concepts.
Ability to work with others as a member of a team.
Independent thinker capable of taking initiative and finding solutions for challenge.
U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

Accountable to satisfy demand placed on the system on time.
Create purchase orders in SAP, confirm purchase quantities and pricing with vendor.
Adherence to Aecon preferred supplier sourcing footprint.
Accountable for driving toward a zero exception procure to pay process.
Real time resolution of price, delivery, account assignment, material and service related exceptions.
Increase the use and refinement of Aecon’s material master data
Ensure that all packing slips have been verified for all pertinent information.
Track all rental equipment and tooling.
Clear open commitments and close purchase orders as required.
Maintains and organizes all related filing systems.
Generate Vendor Corrective Measures when required.
Other procurement administrative duties as required.
