About The Position

The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing electronics packaging designs for ruggedized ground and airborne military systems. The candidate will execute assignments independently under moderate supervision as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering design team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Ability to obtain a US security clearance is required

Nice To Haves

Excellent communication skills
Broad understanding of basic mechanical design and analysis practices
Hands-on hardware or laboratory experience with electronic assemblies and systems
Experience and interest in the analysis, simulation, and testing of thermal and mechanical systems
Familiarity with Windchill, Creo, and military design and environmental test standards
Secret clearance is preferred but not required to start. The ability to acquire a Secret clearance is required

Responsibilities

Detailed mechanical design and analysis of electronic systems, boxes, and modules
Extensive use of mechanical CAD modeling tools
Specification, model, and drawing generation per ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5
Collaboration with multifunctional teams encompassing engineering, procurement, and operations
Mechanical and environmental testing and mechanical troubleshooting of electronics systems
Travel (domestic and foreign) may be required 2-5% in a year
Ability to obtain a US security clearance is required
