About The Position

As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is seeking an experienced Material Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procured items, handling license renewals, and overseeing the disposition of items to operational sites, government facilities, or Defense Reutilization and Marketing Offices (DRMO). This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is on site in Colorado Springs, CO. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active U.S. DoW Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a government or defense sector.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of items needed for operational activities.
  • Track and manage the software license renewal process for all necessary licenses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the disposition of surplus or obsolete items to appropriate operational sites, government agencies, or DRMO.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of procured items.
  • Assist in managing the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and government regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions, licenses, and disposition activities.
