Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent amount of work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in material control or inventory management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in material control, inventory management, or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and materials is advantageous.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tracking and prioritizing critical materials across suppliers, transit, or Plant, to ensure timely supply at point of use for the production areas and pre-assembly sections, thus ensuring a stable production flow throughout the production process.
  • Follow Company standard procedures, act with integrity and pay attention to details, effective communication with all levels and functions; as well as participating in the SFM through continuous improvement, problem analysis, and KPI monitoring to prevent disruptions.
  • Assume responsibility for the Inbound Logistics activities required to manage bottlenecks or critical parts. Including, if necessary, coordination/initiation of expedited shipments or special transport.
  • Order original parts from other plants or from suppliers.
  • Check Inbound Logistics-relevant warnings of material flow to systematic errors or missing parts.
  • Handle critical material call-offs before MIH and independently initiate activities or measures to ensure process stability.
  • Ensure communication and secure parts supply in collaboration with suppliers, freight forwarders, Original Parts, CKD, and other group plants in the absence of the Inbound Logistics Team.
  • Receive information on material shortages from production areas and coordinate the current situation with the Inbound Logistics Team.
  • Conduct investigations in case of material shortages, including the proactive and responsible initiation of necessary measures.
  • Verify material stock levels in-house and in transit.
  • Coordinate processes throughout the entire material flow chain (supplier, transport, and internal logistics) in bottleneck situations.
  • In coordination with Production Control Specialists, initiate blockings of vehicles as necessary.
  • Process daily reports (daily production notifications, blocking lists, CP 6/7/8 reports) with appropriate documentation.
  • Daily exchange of information with the Production & Material Control Specialists and Group Leader.
  • Inform the Inbound Logistics Team responsible (or their delegate) the following day about bottlenecks or critical parts handling and hand over any open issues.
