About The Position

The Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer implements moderate enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness in the job area. The role involves general problem-solving and innovation opportunities that may require understanding broader issues but are typically not complex. Solutions are often based on prior experience and analysis of the issues. The position operates under general supervision and may have responsibility for entire projects or processes within the job area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; or a graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Recommend enhancements to systems and processes.
• Work toward operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
• Take responsibility for entire projects or processes within the job area.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area.
• Manage projects, including delegating work and reviewing others’ work products.
