About The Position

KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army’s power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that the land-based unit sets stored are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency issues to operating units at the direction of the US Army. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs IAW individual scope of work contract requirements. The Maintenance Technical Analyst serves as the contractors MTR (Maintenance Technical Representative) who receive assignments or technical direction from the Maintenance Manager and abides with guidance provided by the U.S. Army / local government sources. This person performs in-depth research and analysis of workload requirements to assist with forecasting and planning of warranty, safety message, and modification work order parts and other compliance needs. This person will periodically observe and critique maintenance activities and associated documentation for verification of compliance with the application of provided procedures to ensure proper, accurate, and consistent data reporting. This person vigorously enforces the standards for validation of disposition turn-in documents, and using applicable forms, prepares deviation and waiver submissions to be presented to the customer as required. This person will coordinate and schedule maintenance actions with external contractors to facilitate warranty repairs as required. The Maintenance Technical Analyst is the curator for all technical information and administrative publications relating to maintenance support requirements not readily available through the Technical Librarian. This person standardizes cataloging of reports, manuals, and related technical material concerned with work methods, procedures, installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment. This person will actively monitor relevant publication sites and is responsible for providing timely notification of changes in technical direction. Additionally, this individual will participate in drafting materials regarding recommended improvements of work methods and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access
  • Must be able to meet government-specified requirements for deployment
  • Must be able to work on-site
  • Working knowledge of GCSS-Army
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft office suite, particularly MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Power BI
  • Data extraction, manipulation
  • High School diploma
  • 2 years’ related experience in fields involving U.S. Army production, maintenance, logistics, supply, or record keeping using automated systems

Nice To Haves

  • College completion/military service viewed favorably
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 years of applicable specialized military or military contracting experience can be used in lieu of formal post high school education on a one-to-one basis
  • Working knowledge of Army unit structure (i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, equipment readiness).
  • Prior experience with Operations in military service or working with Army staff is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma training/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Access and utilization of multiple Apps, websites, documents and SOP’s including EMS NG, IADS, ETM/IETM App, UTAP, APD, and LOGSA (LIW).
  • Serve as the Safety Message Coordinator, creating, updating, and providing APS-3 Form MT-30 and utilizing the MMIS app within LOGSA and TULSA website.
  • Serve as the Disposition Coordinator, validating and submitting equipment code-out documentation to Operations dept.
  • Serve as the MWO Coordinator, providing DA FORM 2408-5 and utilizing the MMIS app within LOGSA.
  • Serve as the Deviation/Waiver Coordinator, utilizing the ETM/IETM app within LOGSA and the APD website.
  • Serve as the Controlled Exchange Coordinator, requiring GCSS-Army access rights.
  • Serve as the DA FORM 2408-4 Coordinator, utilizing the TULSA Weapons Card link.
  • Serve as the AOAP Coordinator, requiring AOAP rights and utilization of the AOAP App within LOGSA, and passing the AOAP Monitor test/cert.
  • Serve as the Warranty Coordinator, creating and maintaining a database of warrantors and facilitating planning with external contacts for warranty repair actions.
  • Download electronic copies of PS MAG, HIP TIMES, HMMWV Newsletter, etc., post to the Shared Drive, and notify personnel.
  • Save and post all solutions to issues not found by “normal” means.
  • Revise and update SOPs.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
