About The Position

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. The Lab Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing laboratory analysis (gas chromatographs, Anton Parr D86, Grabner Instruments, Anton Parr PMA Flash machine, Pensky Matins Opti flash, Hunter Lab vista color machine, Anton Parr DMA 35 gravitometers, and XO Sindie R3 sulfur machines) for custody quality measurement and product quality control. Providing technical support for lab equipment in the regional area. Managing and reporting quality data to internal/external customers throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Technical coursework beyond high school
  • 5 years of laboratory industry experience can commensurate with Bachelor’s degree.
  • Willing to cover overtime shifts.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient in MS Office applications including but not limited to Excel and Word.
  • Must be accountable and self-driven to learn and continuously develop and improve his/her skills through formalized and on-the-job training.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is preferred.
  • Experience developing Chromatography specialized test methods and statistical data methods of quality of control is preferred.
  • Experience with Natural Gas liquids and Liquified Petroleum Gas, and Refined products is preferred.
  • Chemical Hygiene Plan execution experience is preferred.
  • Chromatography basics (both operation and maintenance)
  • Analytical software packages
  • LIMS
  • Wet Chemistry techniques
  • Interpretation of standard testing procedures (GPA, ASTM, and UOP)
  • Procedure review and writing
  • SQC experience in a laboratory environment, interpreting and creating control charts.
  • Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills, decision-making skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Able to work well with others and able to receive constructive criticism and direction while on Shift.
