Reporting to the Manager, Insurance & Risk Management and specializing in the field of risk management and insurance, this position will coordinate insurance coverage for all City of Mississauga assets and liabilities, limit liability through effective risk management, and develop and implement risk management policies and procedures. This position includes risk identification and mitigation strategies, risk financing, claims, contract negotiation and drafting, insurance policy management, risk presentations and education, and working collaboratively with City departments, external vendors and the public, to protect and manage the City’s interests. Our hybrid work model will allow you to work remotely, except as required to attend our offices at 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga, L5B 3C1 for in person meetings to satisfy business needs and as required.
