About The Position

The Specialist III, Corporate Recruiting, works within Goodwill’s Human Resources (HR) department, managing the recruitment cycle for a variety of roles with an emphasis on supporting the Administrative, Contracts, and Community Impact teams. This individual may provide limited support/expertise to the Sales and Operations Divisions. This individual is responsible for identifying, attracting, and selecting qualified candidates to fill open positions by collaborating with hiring managers, developing job descriptions, posting job ads, reviewing applications, conducting pre-screening interviews, and managing their applicants’ recruitment process to ensure a smooth onboarding and new hire experience. This individual builds strong relationships with all levels of management to understand the nuances of their department’s culture and plays a key role in shaping the internal workforce.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • 5 years’ experience in senior-level recruiting, networking, and relationship management.
  • A minimum of 3 years as a full life cycle Recruiter directly supporting senior leaders and recruiting for senior leadership positions; with the ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • A minimum of 1 year utilizing an on-line Human Resources Information System (HRIS)/ATS
  • Strong computer skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ATS.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to follow through.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of employees including employees with disabilities and disadvantages.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelors degree is preferred.
  • PHR or other certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s recruiting experience within the realm of Federal Contracts (Service Contract Act/Davis Bacon) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ Recruiting/HR experience working with AAPs, EEOC, ADA is preferred.
  • UKG HRIS/Recruiting software is preferred.
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare and/or janitorial is preferred.
  • It is preferred that the incumbent have the ability to drive for company business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recruiting expertise to specific organizational divisions consisting of approximately 1,000 varied positions such as: Caregivers (CNAs/ LPNs/RNs, PCPs, Case Managers, etc.), Passenger Van Drivers, Maintenance, Laundry Assemblers, Instructors/Teachers, Custodial, Retail, Accounting, Payroll, IT, Risk, MarComm, and HR.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all sensitive matters: Applicant compensation, personal information of applicants/employees, and results from pre-and post-employment screens, assessments, and references. Organizational confidentiality pertaining to business decisions (new positions, hiring/retention strategy (to include workforce diversity), etc.).
  • Assist in creating/editing any new/existing job descriptions/competencies and physical requirements for the organization to ensure compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Affirmative Action Plans (AAP), and CARF, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), etc.
  • Generate applicant interest by accurately communicating job duties, pay, benefits, and work environment.
  • Guide interested applicants on how to apply online or how to receive assistance in the application process.
  • Input data and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Ensure work is checked for accuracy and completeness. Follow internet applicant protocol for documenting recruiting data, record the disposition of applicants, and run reports related to our AAPs.
  • May search for passive candidates through various online avenues including job boards and social media.
  • Network, build, and maintain relationships with referral sources (work force centers, schools, churches, etc.).
  • Understand and comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) measures and guidelines and stay up to date on legal requirements.
  • Understand Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) compliance and maintain accurate documentation with job descriptions, job postings, applications, interview notes, and job offers through the ATS.
  • Communicate effectively with applicants, job candidates, and hiring managers.
  • May research/implement strategies to reach/advertise jobs to our target talent pool.
  • Assist with tracking all new hires for non-retail positions (Workforce Development, Admin, Contracts, and Community Programs). Ensures appropriate pre-employment background checks, drug screens, etc. are performed promptly.
  • Partner with Learning and Development in creating a successful interviewing/hiring practice for the supported department’s hiring managers. This will include Human Resource Information System (HRIS) use and compliance with AAP, EEOC, FLSA, etc.
  • Ensure all reported matters are handled in a timely manner by conducting thorough research, interviews, and data analysis during the investigative phase, and communicating findings to appropriate management.
  • Advise other managers on human resources issues, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment concerns, ensuring timely and appropriate action is taken.
