About The Position

The Universal Banker role responds to customers' needs by processing routine banking transactions at the teller window or on the platform under minimal supervision, and provides flexibility of coverage for the branch. This role engages in a broad range of sales and service activities to provide a superior level of customer service. Responsibilities include opening new accounts, handling teller transactions, marketing and cross-selling bank products and services, resolving complex customer service issues, and utilizing banking knowledge to identify additional sales and service opportunities. The Universal Banker builds rapport to engage prospects in a banking relationship and enhance existing customer relationships, and refers customers to other banking services and personnel as appropriate. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Requires basic knowledge of job procedures & tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education.
Working under moderate supervision.
Problems are typically of a routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.
Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
2+ years relevant experience
May require vocational or technical training
