About The Position

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. develops and manufactures large lithium ion polymer batteries and modules for electric vehicle and energy storage applications. The Specialist I, Production supports the Production Manager by coordinating inventory assignments and production-related projects, helping ensure a smooth flow of materials, and communicating with internal customers and the ERP system team. The position leads monthly inventory counts, assists with implementing a cycle-counting process and production material-flow improvements, and translates customer demand into production schedules.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related program.
1 to 3+ years of related experience.
Data analysis skills.
Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
Excellent time-management and organizational ability.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail.
Collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing skills in English and Korean; preferred but not required.
Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform physical inventory counts, track and report inventory accuracy, and reconcile inventory issues daily.
Monitor semi-finished and finished-goods inventory and perform inventory simulations for long-term planning.
Research and document inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and propose possible solutions.
Develop, implement, and monitor key inventory transaction functions to ensure transactions are accurate and timely.
Introduce additional inventory tracking resources to drive continuous improvement.
Perform inventory transactions in the ERP system to track inventory movement and improve accuracy.
Monitor and report production schedules daily using GMES and Factory Monitoring, and organize production data.
Prepare business and KPI planning documentation.
Communicate issues with local and worldwide Inventory Teams.
Work with the Planning Team to review weekly production plans and communicate with other departments.
Maintain work-site cleanliness in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
Perform other duties as assigned.
