About The Position

The Access Control Specialist serves as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and contractors entering company facilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service, front desk, or security/access control roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
  • Must demonstrate integrity, reliability, and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Familiarity with access control and visitor management systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist all guests, employees, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Verify identification and authorization for facility access in accordance with established security policies.
  • Issue and manage visitor and contractor badges, ensuring accurate logging and recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate with security officers, reception, and facilities personnel to ensure efficient visitor flow.
  • Provide information, directions, and assistance to guests and employees as needed.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to visitor scheduling or access permissions.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees by facilitating ID badge issuance and access provisioning.
  • Prepare daily logs, visitor reports, and incident documentation as required.
  • Participate in regular security and customer service training programs.
