About The Position

U.S. Bank is seeking an HR Service Center Specialist who will be responsible for providing high-touch HR support to employees, retirees, managers, and business partners on HR policies, payroll, and benefits questions and processes. This role serves as an escalation point for complex and sensitive inquiries, managing urgent issues with professionalism, sound judgment, and confidentiality across phone, chat, portal, and email channels. The Specialist will partner with HR teams to research and resolve complex cases, identify root causes, and ensure timely, accurate outcomes, while proactively anticipating issues and improving the employee experience. Additionally, the role involves supporting Tier 1 agents through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing to enhance performance and ensure consistent service delivery. The Specialist will communicate clearly and effectively, adapting their approach to meet the needs of diverse customers and stakeholders. They will utilize HR systems, including ServiceNow case management tools and HRIS platforms such as Workday, to document, track, and resolve inquiries in alignment with service level expectations. The Specialist will contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends and recommending process enhancements. This role requires meeting onsite expectations by working in the office more than 60% of the time each month (full working days).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, payroll, benefits, customer service, or related field
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or equivalent experience
