The American Lung Association has an excellent opportunity for a Specialist, Health Promotions. Working as a member of the Health Promotion and Education department, you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education, and advocacy. The Health Promotions Specialist coordinates, implements, and evaluates lung health programs across Alaska, with a primary focus on supporting the Tobacco Prevention and Statewide Support Contract and other assigned projects. This grant-funded position supports statewide tobacco prevention and control efforts through community engagement, coordination, and technical assistance. The position coordinates program support and technical assistance to advance social norms and environmental change strategies. These efforts aim to reduce youth vaping and use of commercial tobacco and nicotine products, decrease exposure to secondhand smoke, increase quit attempts and cessation among youth and adults, and reduce tobacco-related health disparities across Alaska. This position is 100% grant-funded. Location: Anchorage, Alaska Hybrid: The position is located at the American Lung Association’s Anchorage, Alaska office and will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual work.
