The Office of the Provost at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Specialist for the STEAM Technical Assistance Center. This role will be remote but will be responsible for school outreach/travel in the following WV counties: Wayne, Lincoln, Putnam, Cabell, Kanawha, Mason, Jackson, Roane, Clay, Calhoun, Gilmer, Braxton, Webster, and Pocahontas. Strong knowledge of grades 6–12 STEAM pedagogy, instructional technology, collaborative program development, professional learning, and partnership building is expected. Additional travel throughout West Virginia will occur as necessary to support special events, statewide programs, and other organizational needs. The incumbent must reside in or near the territory counties above. The STEAM Specialist will support the West Virginia Public Education Collaborative/WVU STEAM Technical Assistance Center in expanding and strengthening Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education across West Virginia middle and high schools. The position focuses on developing, coordinating, and implementing high-quality STEAM programs, instructional resources, professional learning, and technology initiatives that support students, educators, and school administrators.
