As a Specialist, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), you will support Newmont's Enterprise Risk Management program by coordinating risk reporting, governance activities, risk analytics, and monitoring processes. You will help provide executive leadership and the Board with meaningful risk insights while supporting Internal Audit's independent evaluation of ERM effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, governance, strategy, finance, business analysis, analytics, or executive reporting.
  • Knowledge of ERM frameworks and standards such as ISO 31000, COSO, Three Lines Model, Internal Audit Standards, and mining industry.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders through governance, executive, or Board-level reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Excel, Microsoft 365, data analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies, risk aggregation, executive reporting, and project management.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation development, and data visualization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification or progress toward certification in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or Data Analytics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, validation, and maintenance of the enterprise risk model aligned with company strategy and governance requirements.
  • Monitor assurance outcomes, risk indicators, and events to identify emerging risks and potential out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Conduct external benchmarking, emerging risk assessments, and research into leading ERM practices.
  • Maintain ERM standards, governance documents, methodologies, guidance materials, and reporting templates.
  • Coordinate enterprise risk reporting cycles for leadership teams, committees, and Board reporting requirements.
  • Analyze and challenge risk information submitted by business units, functional teams, and risk owners to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Prepare quarterly risk scorecards and executive reports using approved methodologies.
  • Develop and administer analytics and AI-enabled solutions that enhance risk monitoring, reporting efficiency, and decision-making.
