About The Position

Join the Enterprise Data Operations Team as a Specialist, Data Acquisition where you will spend the majority of time communicating with data sources to acquire data in a timely manner and resolve issues with collected data that will be used in Cotality products. You will work with counties throughout the nation to collect and track the status of data determining whether the data is complete and current. You will also be responsible for resolving data related issues with the appropriate parties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative, data entry, or customer service role.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient with PC and Microsoft Suite, including familiarity with Access, Excel, Word, Tableau and PowerPoint
  • Able to learn CRM (customer relationship management) tools, such as Salesforce, Jira, SQL, Oracle and FTP Clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented; organizational skills; problem solving and critical thinking
  • Must be able to independently manage many different tasks which may be assigned by different individuals and develop solutions as challenges arise

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GIS, real estate records, or basic database concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with data sources (counties, jurisdictions, commercial and government aggregators) via telephone, email and website to procure data.
  • Performs initial evaluation of the need for and availability of data to support products and procure necessary data
  • Resolves issues/problems regarding collected data.
  • Processes and provides feedback/results on data requests from other departments.
  • Captures and maintains comprehensive documentation of metadata on existing and procured data, including but not limited to: contact info, price, existing legal restrictions.
  • Documents and tracks status of data receipt
  • Coordinates documentation and payments required for the data ordering process
  • May prepare cost/benefit analysis for review by management prior to data purchase if there is a significant shift from the prior event.
