About The Position

Softchoice is a software-focused IT solutions and services provider that equips organizations to be agile and innovative. The Corporate Events Marketing team aims to be a strategic and inventive event marketing group in the IT industry, focusing on creating engaging, data-driven, and inspirational digital events. This role will elevate the virtual event strategy and deliver world-class digital experiences, enabling salesforce and partners with high-value digital engagement opportunities. The Webinar & Virtual Events Specialist will be responsible for project managing Softchoice’s virtual event and webinar programs across North America. This includes owning the end-to-end planning, production, and delivery of virtual events and webinars, serving as producer and project manager for various virtual programs, building sponsorship packages, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to align event themes with business outcomes. The role also involves driving registration, attendance, and audience engagement, managing virtual event platforms, working with outsourced agencies, developing and managing event budgets, and creating event briefing materials.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, digital event production, or webinar management.
  • Skilled at managing both large‑scale virtual events and smaller webinar programs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to see change and ambiguity as opportunities to innovate.
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and communicate with clarity and confidence.
  • Exceptional communicator, including strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions that clarify goals and drive alignment.
  • Highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to guide cross‑functional teams toward a common mission.

Nice To Haves

  • Event Management or Project Management certification is an asset.
  • Experience with CVENT, Asana, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end planning, production, and delivery of virtual events and webinars—including technology setup, run-of-show, speaker management, dry runs, and live delivery.
  • Serve as producer and project manager for webinar series, partner‑led virtual events, and customer‑facing online experiences.
  • Build sponsorship packages for virtual programs and manage communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align event themes, content, and messaging to business outcomes.
  • Drive registration, attendance, and audience engagement through strategic planning and thoughtful digital experience design.
  • Coordinate all cross-functional touchpoints for each event, ensuring clarity, alignment, and seamless execution.
  • Manage all virtual event platforms and tools (e.g., Teams Live, Goto Webinar, Cisco Webex), optimizing setup and audience experience.
  • Work closely with outsourced agencies to produce, edit, and execute virtual events, including managing the creation, quality control, and delivery of prerecorded webinar content.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Create event briefing materials and lead internal pre‑event meetings to ensure all contributors are prepared for seamless execution.
  • Partner with internal designers to develop compelling event graphics and promotional assets.
  • Collaborate with the web team to publish and maintain event listings, landing pages, and registration forms on Softchoice.com.
  • Work with external suppliers and internal communications partners to develop digital collateral and supporting materials.
  • Contribute new ideas and innovations that elevate the virtual attendee experience and drive stronger digital engagement.
  • Own event reporting dashboards leading up to each event, tracking key KPIs and performance against business objectives.
  • Own all reporting related to registration, attendance, engagement metrics, and business impact.
  • Deliver post-event insights on what worked, what didn’t, and recommendations for future improvement.
  • Track budgets and marketing development funds (MDF) to ensure accurate documentation and program compliance.
  • Provide partners with post-event reporting, proof of execution, and performance summaries.
