About The Position

The Bulk Gas Sales Specialist position is responsible for Bulk and MicroBulk gas sales within the assigned territory (SLC and surrounding areas) for the Intermountain Region. This role involves prospecting and commercializing new business, negotiating and improving terms and conditions of renewals, and being a key player in executing and molding our regional strategy. The Specialist is responsible for the growth and profitability of Bulk gas sales in their assigned territory, negotiating Bulk gas contracts for renewals and new business, and acting as a steward of the Bulk business for both regional and national teams. They will also assist in training Branch and other local associates. The role requires conducting thorough research to identify potential customers and generate new leads, presenting products to clients, tailoring sales presentations to meet specific needs, and building rapport to address customer inquiries effectively. Planning and organizing work schedules to prospect, qualify, and welcome new partners, collaborating with internal teams to provide solutions, and preparing sales proposals, quotes, and contracts are also key responsibilities. The Specialist must stay updated on market trends and industry developments, resolve customer inquiries and concerns professionally, maintain accurate records, submit required reports, and protect the confidentiality of sensitive information. Presenting a professional image reflective of company values and identifying and aligning key customer stakeholders at all levels within targeted accounts to advance sustainable growth by welcoming new business accounts are crucial. Establishing and maintaining clear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments relative to new customer developments, successes, and opportunities to ensure a supportive transition, and utilizing all available resources to help realize growth opportunities are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Preferred 3 years related experience in specific bulk gas sales
  • Ability to work in a team selling environment
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of Bulk applications and systems
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven change management skills, including building sponsorship, communications, and stakeholder management
  • Overnight travel less than 10% of the time
  • Valid state driver's license
