About The Position

The Asset and Contract Governance Specialist -- Containers & Compactors is responsible for governing the lifecycle, contractual compliance, and financial oversight of container and compactor assets. This role ensures assets are accurately tracked, contractually compliant, operationally available, and financially optimized to support safe and reliable service delivery.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of container and compactor asset management practices
  • Ability to analyze billing, cost data, and asset performance metrics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage large data sets
  • Proficiency with ERP, asset management, and reporting tools
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in asset governance, contract administration, or asset-intensive operations

Responsibilities

  • Govern the full lifecycle of container and compactor assets, including procurement, deployment, relocation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposition.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, tagging, and asset records across asset management, billing, and financial systems.
  • Monitor asset utilization, condition, and availability to identify idle, underutilized, damaged, or lost assets.
  • Conduct and support physical inventories, audits, and field validations of container and compactor assets.
  • Ensure compliance with asset-related contracts, including ownership terms, lease provisions, pricing, and service level commitments.
  • Track contract milestones including renewals, amendments, rate escalations, asset returns, and terminations.
  • Validate vendor invoices, lease charges, repair costs, and customer billing related to container and compactor assets.
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, unbilled assets, revenue leakage, and unauthorized asset activity.
  • Analyze asset costs, repair trends, damage patterns, and loss rates to support governance and optimization decisions.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards related to asset inventory, utilization, contract compliance, and financial performance.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and corrective action follow-up.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
