About The Position

Independent Financial Group (IFG) is seeking an Advisory Product & Platform Specialist to support the firm's growing Advisory business. This individual will be responsible for key day-to-day operational and administrative functions across IFG's advisory product and platform ecosystem, including AccessPoint/Envestnet, Turnkey Asset Management Platforms (TAMPs), custodial relationships, advisory and financial planning billing, account administration, advisor support, and platform controls. The Specialist will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of IFG's Advisory platform. Responsibilities include managing recurring billing and account administration processes, monitoring platform activity and documentation, supporting advisor onboarding and transitions, coordinating issue resolution and remediation, and maintaining appropriate platform access and records. This position works closely with advisors and internal departments including Operations, Compliance, Finance, Technology, Cashiering, Commissions, and Product Consulting. The Specialist will also support ongoing platform enhancements, advisor training, and initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and the overall advisor experience. Requirements

  • Four-year college degree required.
  • FINRA Series 7 license required or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.
  • Minimum of two years of financial services industry experience.
  • Prior experience with a broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, advisory operations, or wealth management firm preferred.
  • Working knowledge of advisory platforms, investment products, or wealth management operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry and advisory operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily administration of IFG's advisory product and platform ecosystem, including AccessPoint/Envestnet, custodial platforms, TAMPs, and other third-party systems.
  • Administer advisory platform access and account maintenance throughout the advisor lifecycle, including new user setup, representative changes, account reassignment, transitions, and terminations.
  • Coordinate advisory account maintenance and exception activity, including trade corrections, share class conversions, rebates, billing corrections, and other account-level changes.
  • Monitor advisory accounts and platform activity to ensure accurate billing, complete documentation, appropriate account setup, and timely resolution of exceptions.
  • Support relationships with TAMPs, custodians, platform providers, and other Advisory partners, and assist with the implementation and testing of platform enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Manage recurring advisory billing and fee administration processes across applicable platforms and account types, including validation, reconciliation, adjustments, reimbursements, and coordination with internal departments.
  • Monitor and process Financial Planning Agreements and related billing activity, including fee review, agreement validation, and coordination with Commissions and Supervision.
  • Review, reconcile, and resolve advisory billing exceptions and fee-related issues to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Collaborate across Compliance, Operations, Finance, Technology, Cashiering, Commissions, Product Consulting, and other departments to support Advisory initiatives and resolve operational issues.
  • Serve as a resource for advisors and internal departments on Advisory products, platforms, and processes, including providing platform training and support to newly transitioned advisors.
  • Coordinate remediation of issues identified through Compliance reviews, supervisory findings, audits, billing reviews, or platform controls, including documentation, follow-up, and escalation as appropriate.
  • Maintain Advisory product and platform documentation, standard operating procedures, due diligence files, and departmental records to support operational consistency and audit readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Advisory processes, controls, documentation, and workflow efficiency, and perform additional project-based responsibilities as assigned.
