Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standard (GAAP), experience with POC long-term revenue recognition, and knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Cost Point.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, process, and reconcile intercompany projects, billings, and transactions across multiple business units; ensuring accuracy, proper allocation of costs, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve intercompany discrepancies.
  • Maintain general ledger activities, including indirect cost structures, account reconciliations, accruals, and allocation methodologies. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data through detailed analysis, review, and resolution of variances.
  • Analyze financial information and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with audit preparations and support audit process under GAAP standards.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform period-end close processes to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and posted within established timeline.
  • Assist with and lead special accounting projects, as needed.
