About The Position

QXO is hiring a Special Truck - Conveyor driver to deliver building products. The role includes touch-freight work, which may involve lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 pounds. The driver is responsible for inspecting the truck and delivery site, loading and verifying materials, communicating with dispatch, and following safety procedures. The position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, including lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
