About The Position

QXO, Inc. is a major distributor of roofing, waterproofing, lumber, and building materials in North America, aiming to be a tech-enabled leader in the industry. The company is experiencing rapid growth and plans to significantly increase its annual revenues through acquisitions and organic expansion. This role involves operating a crane truck on job sites to deliver materials to rooftops.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• Crane Certification - NCCCO: ABC
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Operate Crane Truck on job sites for rooftop deliveries
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
