About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This role leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of TCTY trainings, learning collaboratives, outreach activities, and events. It involves managing logistics, communications, materials, stakeholder coordination, and continuing education requirements. The position also tracks program activities, participation, and outcomes, supports grant reporting and administrative needs, and develops timelines and communication strategies to ensure TCTY initiatives are implemented effectively and aligned with program goals. The Special Projects Specialist plans, coordinates, and implements multiple types of projects and events, is responsible for coordinating logistics, managing budgets and timelines for assigned projects and events, and facilitates project meetings with internal stakeholders to identify project/event needs, timelines, and desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in psychology, social work, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years' progressively responsible work experience, preferably in projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of Visio

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care, evidence-based mental health treatments, or behavioral health would also be helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of TCTY trainings, learning collaboratives, outreach activities, and events, including logistics, communications, materials, stakeholder coordination, and continuing education requirements.
  • Track program activities, participation, and outcomes.
  • Support grant reporting and administrative needs.
  • Develop timelines and communication strategies to ensure TCTY initiatives are implemented effectively and aligned with program goals.
  • Coordinate detailed logistics with operational partners and vendors to ensure delivery of the elements required to complete a project or event.
  • Coordinate details to ensure execution of innovative and impactful projects and events as defined by stakeholders.
  • Work in concert with operational stakeholders, vendors, and members of the project team to ensure seamless project and event planning and execution.
  • Coordinate communications of project deliverables or event by partnering with Marketing.
  • Develop and printing of program materials.
  • Setting up and breaking down the events.
  • Provide day-to-day support to projects/events ensuring all deliverables are at an acceptable level of quality before proceeding to the next step.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving problems/issues/risks.
  • Assist in project/event post-close review to identify possible improvements for future projects.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with project team and third party service providers/vendors integral to project delivery.
  • Negotiate, review and execute vendor contracts.
  • Ensure effective communication between all members of the project team by ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection and dissemination of project information.
