About The Position

Father Bill’s & MainSpring is an innovative leader in the areas of housing and ending homelessness in Southern Massachusetts providing temporary shelter and food, identifying safe and affordable housing and providing permanent housing with supportive Services. The Special Projects Manager will focus on property improvements for a diverse portfolio with 30 plus locations. FBMS has an excellent reputation and strong relationships with many public funders, nonprofit partners, and private landlords. It has a longstanding commitment to programs and strategic planning and to evaluation of its performance outcomes. The Special Projects Manager will continue to strengthen, develop, and expand this work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or equivalent related field and experience in property management or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage property / facility improvements as assigned including drafting bid documents, preparing contracts, maintaining project schedules, staffing and materials; logistics; planning and communication, creating and tracking project budgets.
  • Provide onsite supervision and review quality and progress of project
  • Communicate with project team members, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Define project scopes and objectives, prepare budgets, secure approvals, and award contract work.
  • Track and report project costs and provide cost analysis on established schedules.
  • Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors and building / municipal officials.
