About The Position

Critical to the needs of our facility, the Special Project Lead role is responsible to execute and report on all assigned projects by the Executive VP of Fabrication related to shop fabrication, production, scheduling, quality, product shipping and maintenance. Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
10 years as a structural steel and equipment experience
Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of: Applicable federal and state building codes and ordinances; production/material specifications related to the fabrication and erection of structural steel
Demonstrated ability to coordinate work/ship schedules
Ability to generate and comprehend functional statistical data and financial information
Frequent use of MS Office Suite and Bluebeam PDF

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree or training in a related discipline may substitute for 3 years of experience
Working knowledge of STRUM.I.S. or other production control software preferred

Responsibilities

Ensures that production staff is adhering to all applicable safety standards
Provides guidance, instruction, direction and leadership while directly supervising production staff to meet the established production and quality standards
Provides the team with the scope of the project objectives
Meets project objectives by forecasting job requirements and potential barriers
Works with established priorities, controls process and works with presenting solution to resolve issues to maintain project goals
Assures compliance with corporate regulations pertaining to Human Resources and Safety
Works to improve production processes and procedures
