About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly technical Special Projects Lead to serve as a critical Subject Matter Expert for our business unit. You will be responsible for providing expert troubleshooting, operational oversight, and technical guidance to ensure the reliability and success of our heavy earthworks and processing operations. This role is essential to our business success, requiring a hands-on leader capable of instantly diagnosing and resolving complex equipment and operational challenges.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to undertake frequent travel throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan to support critical project sites.
  • Extensive experience in heavy earthworks and processing equipment (e.g., forestry or gravel crushing operations). While landfill experience is an asset, a strong background in similar heavy industrial environments is highly valued.
  • A proven track record of instantly troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment or operational issues.
  • Must be available for significant travel throughout Western Canada.
  • Ability to work a schedule involving heavy overtime to ensure the success of critical projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, autonomous environment and make sound, on-the-spot decisions.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
