About The Position

Berkshire Bay Contractors, Inc. – Ft. Myers, FL is currently seeking a motivated and dependable Special Projects Helper to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and is comfortable assisting with a wide range of projects throughout Southwest Florida. The Special Projects Helper will assist with unique and one-off projects, including but not limited to: Dock lighting installations, Drain jetting and drain maintenance work, Small remodel projects, Plumbing and electrical support work, and Miscellaneous special projects as needed. When special project work is light, this position will continue receiving full-time hours by assisting either our Plumbing or Electrical Division.

Requirements

• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge required
• Must speak and read English fluently
• Must be comfortable working Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• Must know how to operate an iPad for job documentation and communication
• Must be comfortable working in attics and tight spaces
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a clean Driver’s License
• Clean background check required
• Must possess a valid Social Security Card (SSC)
• Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to learn

Nice To Haves

• Handyman experience is a major plus
• Trailer towing experience is a plus
• Smaller frame/build preferred due to attic access requirements
