About The Position

The Campus Affairs Commission (CAC) seeks to implement and support programming and advocacy avenues for undergraduate students in the Queen’s community. The Special Projects Director is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of large-scale events. This role works closely with the Campus Affairs Commissioner and other stakeholders to ensure the success of major events while providing support and guidance for smaller club events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing major events, including but not limited to Homecoming and St. Patrick’s Day
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies for events and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Campus Affairs Commissioner and other staff to ensure a seamless event planning process.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures
  • Attend all training sessions to become familiar with the commission and adhere to the general operations of CAC.
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and attentively
  • Maintain timely communication with the CAC.
  • Respect and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Attend and fully participate in all in-person and virtual meetings
  • Strive to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere for international students.
  • Always serve as a representative of the AMS and its mission statement
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the CAC.
