About The Position

Farmers Electric Cooperative has an INTERNAL opening for the new position of Special Projects Accountant. A Special Projects Accountant is responsible for performing in depth accurate studies, reports, and projects and assisting in financial forecast and cooperative budget preparation. This position will handle a diverse range of non-traditional financial projects such as Rate & Cost Analysis, Researching Project Feasibility, and preparing Financing & Claims documents. The successful candidate must be organized with excellent ability to carry out a variety of activities which require a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality. Must be able to multi-task and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in accounting
• High degree of working knowledge and skill with the operation of personal computers and software programs such as Microsoft: Excel, Word, and Outlook and IVUE
• Organized with excellent ability to carry out a variety of activities which require a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
