Requirements

  • Level I High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare billing, collections & coding.
  • Experience with automated billing systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must have previous experience coaching and/or developing staff.
  • Must have experience training new employees, handling product changes and new client implementations.
  • Required to uphold the principles of compliance as outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook and related policies and procedures.
  • Supports and participates in the mandatory Corporate Compliance Program training initiative on an annual or more frequent basis, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and processing all medical claims to the health plan in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Accurately assign/review ICD-10-CM, CPR and HCPCS code to outpatient medical records.
  • Enter and review claims into billing system.
  • Review missing documentation and request/obtain appropriate information from the PCP.
